Thanks to all the wonderful runners and volunteers! We had incredible weather, a large turnout and lots of winners. Jordan Magath set a new Course Record of 15:50 and Dr Kornblatt celebrated his 88.5th birthday by finishing. We loved the Philly Pretzel Factory's pretzels and we thank Hillsborough Township for allowing us in again. Link to your US Candids photos is now active. Improvements for the 2012 Race Based On Your Suggestions
1. We have a new age group for the younger runners. Age Groups will be: 9 & Under (new), 10-14 (revised), 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+
2. Race registration opened earlier this year (early July), with a notification to all previous entrants. Early Registration through midnight, Monday, October 31, 2011.
3. Packet & Hoody pickup will have better organization, less wait.

This year's event is our 11th and we have made some improvements for you:
** NO MORE "EXTRA" FEES! We started this last year and we continue it this year. The Registration fee you pay is it! No more added fee for Active.com (our registration partner), no "convenience fee," no extras at all. How have we done this? Simple. We added most of the fee (afterall, we still have to pay Active.com) on to the Registration fee so there are no more added fees on your credit card. We are happy to tell you they are gone forever! ** A RENEWED COMMITTMENT to make sure you get the hoody size you ordered! Most did get the right size and we want to make sure this year EVERYONE gets the size ordered. ** Some SURPRISES we will hold til Race Day!
Due to its popularity, we must limit registration to ensure we bring you a QUALITY experience. Registration will close midnight, December 25 or earlier if we reach our limit. There is no Race Day registration.

2012 RESOLUTION RUN 5K --- HILLSBOROUGH, NEW JERSEY
How about welcoming the New Year with a new commitment to fitness? The Resolution Run 5K is your answer. This 3.1 mile race (it’s walker friendly, too) is a great way to start off your new or continued emphasis on a fit lifestyle. Join us on New Year’s Day, 2012.
The Resolution Run 5K is held in centrally located Hillsborough Township in Somerset County, New Jersey. It’s a low-key, fun celebration of the New Year for all levels of runners and walkers. You can even stay up late the night before for your own celebration! Join us on Sunday morning, January 1, 2012, at the civilized time of 11:00 am!
The event and the course is USA Track & Field-NJ Sanctioned and Certified. USATF-NJ members can earn points in the 2012 Grand Prix competition. Our race is being timed with the "D" Chip by Compuscore, NJ’s foremost timing and finish line coordinator. Finish times and placements will be available immediately after the race and official results will also be available within hours at the Compuscore website. We'll have awards and refreshments after you cross the Finish Line. All participants will receive a quality, custom designed long sleeve HOODY sweatshirt as well as a Finisher's Ribbon.
Proceeds from the Resolution Run 5K for 2012 will benefit the following groups:
Project Graduation 2012 is dedicated to the graduating class of Hillsborough High School. Graduates enjoy a high-spirited, all-night celebration and party immediately following the commencement exercises in June. This popular local effort is part of a nationally recognized program whose goal is to provide a drug and alcohol free celebration of life while giving graduates a positive sendoff. Project Graduation 2012 is the 21st annual event and is supported by the Hillsborough Township Youth Commission, parent volunteers, the senior class, faculty and school administration and many other Township residents and officials. We are proud to be able to join in the support of Project Graduation 2012.
Approximately half of the proceeds of the Race are contributed to Project Graduation and the remainder is divided among several local pet-friendly groups. Last year, the following non-profit groups were beneficiaries and these or similar groups will benefit from the 2012 Race:
Carol’s Cats is a non-profit organization dedicated to cat rescue and adoption programs. This organization has been rescuing and giving cats up for adoption since 1995. Carol’s Cats specializes in the rescue of feral and abandoned cats. CAP Rescue of Hillsborough stands for Companion Animal Placement. CAP has been heavily involved in local and national rescue operations, including several trips to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina to rescue stranded dogs. Greyhound Friends of New Jersey is dedicated to the rescue, appreciation and care of the greyhound dog. They rescue as many as they can from possible death after racing and give them appropriate medical care. Greyhounds are placed in safe, loving homes.
The event is a project of the Resolutions For Others Foundation. Established in 2001, the Hillsborough based Foundation is registered as a charitable, nonprofit corporation with the State of New Jersey.
The Resolution Run 5K has SPECIAL ONLINE PRICING:
- Regular Early Online Registration is available now through midnight, Monday, October 31, 2011. The fee is $26. USATF-NJ members and those 18 and younger may take a $2.00 discount. - Regular Registration will close at midnight, December 25, 2011, or sooner, if the race limit is reached. Last year, registration closed Dec 14th. The fee is $31. USATF-NJ members and those 18 and younger may take a $2.00 discount.
There are no additional registration fees or convenience fees. Sorry, but there is absolutely NO Raceday in-person registration and NO registration after we have filled up. No exceptions.
