2012 Summary - New Course Record and Record Temperatures!
Thanks to all our wonderful runners and volunteers! We had incredible weather (over 50 degrees), a large turnout and lots of winners. Jordan Magath set a new Course Record of 15:50 and Dr Kornblatt celebrated his 88.5th birthday by finishing. We loved the Philly Pretzel Factory's pretzels and we thank Hillsborough Township for allowing us in again. Revisit your Resolutions and check your time and photos anytime during the year. Please patronize all our Sponsors and let them know you heard about their support of our event. Comments are welcome anytime.
2011 Was a Great 10th Anniversay!
So who is to argue with sunny, windless, 45 degree weather for January 1st?Not any of the Resolution Run 5K participants. Our 10th Anniversary saw us fill up the race by December 14th, the earliest ever.We had folks from Barcelona, Spain and Dublin, Ireland, as well as 12 states.Hillsborough residents Jordan Magath and Mary Dombrowski triumphed in the men’s and women’s race respectively. The “D-Tag” timing made for an orderly finish and quick results. The Resolution Run Committee even gave each finisher a scratch off lottery ticket! Thanks to all our Volunteers for a great job! Please patronize all our sponsors and tell them you appreciate that they support the Resolution Run.Your comments and suggestions are welcome all year.Email us at
Raceday weather improved as the morning progressed. Just about all the ice and snow was melted and we had a bit of sunshine and (slightly) warmer, above freezing, temperatures by the time the race/walk began. (No wind like 2009's Race!) We had a record number of participants this year. We are becoming a truly international event, with folks travelling from New South Wales, Australia and from Dublin, Ireland. This year we even had several groups of cheering fans along the route. Many thanks to our volunteers. Patronize our Sponsors all year long! Send us your comments and suggestions anytime.
2009 Summary – Cold, Windy, Wonderful!
We had a cold, but sunny, day to start the New Year! There was a strong wind out of the northwest, which, when factored in with the 23 degree temperature, made it feel like under 10 degrees when running against the wind. But with the sun on your face and the wind on your back for the last mile or so, the race was a fantastic way to start the New Year! And the warm meeting room afterwards helped, too. Congratulations to everyone who participated and special thanks to the many volunteers who helped put this race together.Remember to patronize our wonderful sponsors and tell them you know they support the Resolution Run 5K.We welcome your comments, suggestions and constructive criticisms anytime at info@resolutionrun.org.
2008 Summary - Great day, great race!
Thanks to all who participated in the 2008 Resolution Run 5K. This includes runners, walkers, volunteers and spectators. What started out as a rainy, dreary day was clear by racetime, even unseasonably warm, and by the time we all went home, the sun was shining and everybody was enjoying the New Year.
